John Pitman (go back)
John Pitman did his vocal apprenticeship as a Choral Scholar at Cambridge University, whilst studying for a degree in anthropology. He has contributed to numerous recordings with London choirs including The Tallis Chamber Choir, Corydon Singers and The New London Singers. Since arriving in Australia, he has been a member of the Sydney Philharmonia Motet Choir. John claims to have performed every voice part of the Allegri Miserere, from top treble to second bass, over his singing career. Unfortunately he lost his bass range somewhere along the way, and yearns for the day he rediscovers it. Other claims to fame include a former life as a bassoon player and stage fright when meeting Lady Di.
